1967 430 early or late?

Hi. I have a Riv-67 that I want to change the timing chain and gears on. I read that the cam gear is different depending if its a early or late 430. I found out at Kanters webpage that the gear is either 3/8" or 9/16" hub height. I would like to order the parts before I tear apart the engine. I dont know how to identify if my 430 is early or late on the outside. Can somebody help me?
