Front power disc brake conversion on a 58 Buick

The Kanter brake kit could not be used as is and needed some modifications including a different new dual master. A special firewall mounting plate had to be made. Spacers needed modification. A number of other things. Anyway here's some pictures.A.jpg

I like how clean the install of your master cylinder looks.

No rubbing and they do perform well. Like I mentioned a lot of modification had to be done to make this work. Wound up with different master and booster and much more. I would avoid the Kanter kit unless someone who REALLY knows what they're doing is installing.

    58 buick disc brakes

Yes, I would be interested in knowing what the master cylinder and booster are. I have a 58 estate wagon. The front discs system was manufactured by McGyvers in Lloydminister, the rear ones were much simpler. Just starting to put it back together now and could use some advice on master/booster. Cheers. Michael.
