I'm pretty certain that the 71 manual on this site would have the same schematic

I have a installed 2nd used wiper motor that seems to be stuck on high speed and sounds like the pump is running then smokes after a couple of seconds. Is it possible that someone has a wiring diagram for a 69 Skylark that they would like to share. Thanks tk7

Many wiper motors, new, used, rebuilt have a resister on the back. When 1st. started the residue on the resister burns off. Does this smoking continue after the wipers run for a while??? Does it ever stop smoking??? The washer pump solenoid is being held on for some reason & not turning itself off as it should. It shouldn't be but may be the cause for the smoking which I highly doubt.

We seem to have the smoking problem sorted out and the pump is working fine, now just the speed selector, it wants to run on high speed. (no low speed). but have noticed that just before the switch is in low speed position it works fine, the next thing we figure is to take the switch out a clean the contacts or replace it...any deals on new wiper switches???? thanks for the help RWP.............. tk7 thanks
