    1970 Skylark Convertible

Hello, I have a 1970 Skylark Convertible that was left to me by my mother, She bought it new in 1970 and I grew up with this car. I am not sure on my next step. I brought it to my mechanic for a tune up, when he put it on the lift we discovered the frame was very rusty. I can put my fingers through the metal. I purchased a coupe frame and I know I have to box the frame to put it under the car.

My question is do I fully restore the car or do I replace the frame, put new running gear under it and leave the body original? I would like to put disc brake on it to make it safer to stop. I love to drive it.

Thanks for reading and hopefully for your your input

    Convertibles

Money seems to be in cars that are close to stock. Buicks aren't Chevelles so watch the $ you put in. I do think the brake upgrades are a good idea and don't think that would hurt value.

That car just screams potential to me,nice color combo, mom had good taste!
You should be able to find a boxed frame pretty easy, try asking in the wanted section here & over at www.v8buick.com Find a factory disc setup as well, they are pretty common
