248 exhaust pipe size for dual carb/exhaust?

Hello to all the straight 8 guys. I have a 1941 248 with the dual carb/exhaust and I would like your opinion on what size pipe I should run for dual exhaust pipes. would 2" be good?

    Thanks, Jeff

I took off the "Y" pipe ,and installed dual exhaust on my 40 with the 41 manifolds. . I used 2 inch, and stock mufflers, and it sounds and runs GREAT !!

I have custom headers running to 100% stainless 2" all the way back. No H pipe. Sounds, looks great. I forget the beakdown for which cylinders go to which side but if you need it I can "trace" the headers.
