Cars inc. supposedly sells wiring for the buicks
This is my first post on this site, I am in Australia and have a 50 sedanette 2dr, I am in the process of replacing the King Pins and want to install telescopic shocks to the front while I have easy access.
Has anyone done this that can give me advice, I have already installed them on the rear.
Also any comments on where or where not to get a replacement front wiring harness, It doesnt have to be made from the old style wiring as long as its an easy swap over.
Thanks for any help.

Hi 49flamer.
This is my first post here as well, although I have been an avid reader for quite a long time.
I've found a really good place for instructions to replace the front shocks is:
http://www.webrodder.com
If you can't find the detailed instructions on the site, contact the administrator "Chiefweasel". He may request a small charge to provide you with a copy but from what I have seen, it's a great source of information if you're looking for a step by step process.
Cheers.

This outfit has really great wiring, exactly like original, if you want it stock.

Otherwise you can get a generic wiring kit from a hot rod site.
Have you tried these guys in Melbourne (Australia)

I installed tube shocks on my 52. I have driven about 8,000 miles on them. I would be happy to send you some pictures of the installation. I used 1/2 ton Chevy pickup shocks as both vehicles are of the same weight
I wouldn't mind seeing those pictures, Suntree!

I HAVE FORGED AHEAD AFTER MUCH THINKING, REMOVE EXISTING SHOCK (3 BOLTS ARE HARD TO GET OFF) HACK OFF THREADED SECTION OF HOUSING THAT RECEIVES FRONT BOLT THEN BOLT BACK ON WITH ONLY 2 BOLTS (THIS IS STILL STRUCTURALLY SOUND IN MY OPINION TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE EXISTING BODY THICKNESS WHERE BOLTED AND DISTANCE FROM THE BOLTS TO THE PIVOT AXIS PLUS THERE ARE NO MORE STRESSES ON THE A ARM FROM THE OLD SHOCKIE ACTION)
THIS NOW ALLOWS THE TOP PIN OF A TELESCOPIC SHOCK TO GO THROUGH THE COIL INTO THE NOW VACANT HOLE IN THE CHASSIS TOP PLATE, TIGHT BUT IT WILL WORK. I NOW ONLY NEED TO FABRICATE A BRACKET TO HOLD THE BASE OF THE SHOCK IN THE LOWER A ARM.
