1991 Park Avenue, hood release

Opened hood this morning, not a problem, few hours later had to re-open, no joy, tried to pull cable with pliers, but zilch. can anyone tell me where to go from here or if there another way of opening it. Thanks folks

If you get under the front of the car and look up near the grill you can sometimes see the latch or part of the broken hood cable and pull on it to open hood . HTH
