67 lesabre convertible pump fluid fill???

After tearing my hair out for awhile due to some bad advice (not from here!) I have found the convertible top motor mounted behind the middle of the rear seat back. Now, how in the hell do I add fluid to it through the little access holes provided in the sheet metal? Or is there some other means of access that I am missing? Also, do I use granny fluid or brake fluid. The lines are not clear so I can't tell by eyeballing. Mostly I think its tranny fluid but I recently saw something that said some pre 68 used brake fluid. What's the story?

Not sure on your car, but on my 68 GS 400 convertible it uses AT fluid. My pump is located in the same place as yours and I can access it from the trunk. There is a rubber plug on one end to fill thru. I was able to find a nozzle cap (from a gear lube bottle) that fit the AT fluid quart container. I was able to stick that in the hole and squeeze fluid in that way.

Hey, thanks for the help. Couldn't access it from the trunk but did find the fill tube on the left side. Once I got a flashlight on it there was a label on it that said use transmission fluid.

Turns out the hardest part was prying out the fill plug. Otherwise it was a snap.
