Powder coating a grille on a 72 skylark

I have a 72 skylark with a pot metal grille thats in fair condition pits and just showing its age , can it be stripped and powder coated ? any done it ? I was looking at the chrome coating they have avialable now I know it won't shine as nice as chrome would , any input would be great

I don't see why not. The chrome looks pretty good as long as it doesn't sit to close to the real stuff. I used it on my hood springs.

The grill would be a big piece for most home coaters.

I did the grill in my 38 Buick. Did not look to bad, have them clear coat after the chrome.
