Thread: Torque Converter Question

    Torque Converter Question

I'm trying to decide which stall speed torque converter to use in my project. I'm using a 63 Rivera 401 with a 700r4 transmission in a 3000lb pickup. The rear end ratio will be 3:40's with 27" tall rear tires. I'm looking for something that would be good for daily driving and very little to no drag racing. This car is being set up to cruise with the motor being rebuilt to stock specs. Nothing fancy by using a cast iron intake for a Q-jet. Any help would be great!

I would stick to whatever came as original equipment, probably something like 1200 rpm.
