Question Leads on trim clips for 65 Buick Special

    Dear Team Buick members,

I'm "nudging along" a Body Shop's attempt to repair the damage to my venerable 1965 Buick Special wagon in an accident around Thanksgiving last year. The latest obstacle is getting clips to hold the chrome trim along the side of the car. I'm in search of two sorts of clips. At each end of the trim piece was a clip looking like this:

These clips were tightened by the shown screw. In between these end clips were square shaped clips soft plastic clips that simply snapped into place. They look like this:

I one possible lead for the screw type clips. However, I have no idea about the square ones. Do Team Buick members have any clever thoughts on either how to get my grubby paws on these clips or perhaps how to use some other clip that is more commonly available?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cheers, Edouard

Thanks - I'll send them an email with the photos and ask.

Thanks for the lead! I downloaded their catalog and . . . well, the darn clip might be there - but they so many!! I couldn't identify it with certainty. So I'll attach my photos to an email and ask them directly.

Thanks again for the lead. I never heard of these folks. How do people restore cars without resources like Team Buick?

I assume this eBay store - right? (Re: Florida Fasteners)

Hmm, maybe you shouldn't trust Google *too* much. When I look up Florida Fasteners I get a place that sells stuff to tie your house down in case of hurricanes!!

Hey, I'm not letting my senior Buick anywhere near a hurricane!!

Scrolling down the Google list a bit further I get:

Florida Auto Fasteners http://stores.ebay.com/Florida-Auto-...tore-Home.html. Now this looks more like it!

Okay, I'll check them out and see if they can match the clips in my photos.

Thanks for another lead!! So far, still no clips but I remain optimistic!
