Why in the world would I install a BBC in a 55 Buick when a nailhead will run just as good and be a lot tougher.... and easier to install.....

Buickbarnrat you say you used a nova rearend and the scarebird brake conversion.
Does this not give you a 5 on 5 bolt pattern on the front and a 5 on 4 3/4 on the rear?
Or am I missing something.
