    66 skylark dash console question

Im stripping out my 66 Skylark to get it ready for paint this spring but I can seem to figure out how to take the dash console out. I removed the screws for the Dash pad and heater controls but nothing is budging.

The dash pad is held in by screws at the upper lip of the chrome dash that screw into the bottom of the pad. Those are easy to find, bet you got them already.
There are also two pins at the very bottom corners of the pad that push into spring clips in the dash.... be VERY careful with those.
Best way I've found to release them is to take a screwdriver to the backside of the dash, and carefully spread the spring clip apart enough to release some tension on the pin while gently pulling the bottom of the dash pad out. Be gentle, it's easy to damage the pad!
I'll see if I have a diagram or pic around.

Thanks for the tip. Hopefully I can get this done without damaging it. Its the last thing I have left to do on this car before paint. If you find that link lemme know.
