the grilles are made of potmetal, it is kinda hard to rebuild a bad grille. Keep an eye open for grilles on the web, they show up now and then.
here is a outfit that will give you some info

i tried to co2 weld it, did'nt melt.
sticked 5 sec together before the weld fel off.
so want to tig weld it, same as alu but need to know what it is made off.
it sparks with the grinder, and it is slight magnetic.
i did'nt melt the "potmetal" with welding, it did'nt flow together.
saw the movie, looks like a sort of "led type" and i could alway's gleu it together.
Pot metal castings are almost impossible to weld. You might try to silver solder the joint but I doubt if it would last long without a mechanical repair to back up the solder.
well whatever Muggy weld is made of it has more tensile strength than any 'glue' or solder. It is a kind of low melting point silversolder but much more strength than regular tin/lead solder. If it does what the video shows it will weld a potmetal grille, and be a permanent fix. Has anyone here on teambuick used this stuff? Check around the net an see if any other welding sites have an answer.
