There was a reason GM put dual diaphragm fuel pumps on your engine. There was a reason they changed the system in 57, and there is a reason we all have electric wipers.
Just wondering if it is possible to put a non-vaccuum fuel pump from a 1957 on a 1955 322. I know it will eliminate the wipers but that can be bypassed. Thanks.

so im assuming that means i can?
It means someone with more knowledge than you or I designed it that way, and that's the way it should remain.
JUst a qquick question...has anyone ever added a vaccuun reservoir to the vacuum circuit to maintain wipers action at heavier accelerations?
I guess i should ask this in another way. Will a 1957 322 fuel pump work on a 1955 322? Or should I just go electric?
Hello Buickfriends.I have driven my old 54 in this summer, electric fuelpump,
Passed the vacum, put it in intake manifold. It works even in summer in
Sweden whit heavy rain. The wipers go maybe a little fast somtime, then
they almost stall. Its the driver that get the wiper working.
This summer it was raining most the time.I keep my lady in
garage if its bad weather. If you need a fuelpump,or reabuild kit
i have made for 322 1954.
Stubbe.
Thanks bro. I will just go electric and go from there
