    Dash knob removal 1950 SUPER

Before I break anything....thought I'd ask. How do the lights/heater etc...knobs come off the dash before I remove it? Appreciate the insight.
    thanks,
    sk

If I recall correctly, all the knobs have a hex screw to remove...the switches (heater etc) in the radio grill have hex nuts holding them in and the vent cables have spanner nuts. Or maybe they all have spanners? Map lights have to come out from the rear. Gauges have a few bolts holding them in. I think the lighter just has a fused socket and one wire to disconnect. The radio has 2 cables and I think is bolted to 2 brackets as well as having 2 nuts under the knobs. Easiest to take that out in the first step. If memory serves me then the dash itself has half a dozen or so tabs up by the windshield that have to come off. I seem to recall taking the parking brake off of the side cowl wall as well.
