    1956 buick column swap 700R4

Has any one changed trans from dynaflow to a 700R4 and used the factory steering column. If so what do you need to change other than neutral safety switch?

700R4 is a cable shift, has a different bellhousing (is removable(maybe thats 4l60?) but an adapter would a better option), don't know about the driveshaft, but it would probly need to be modified with the 700 yoke. You really only need an on/off switch to control overdrive. Neutral safety switch is no big deal, just another on/off you can use it or bypass it.

    700R4 trans swap

thanks I found a 1986 chev pickup neutral switch will work. I pick one up today I made bracket for shift tub to drive the switch. Next I need to find someone that can make a lens for the trans shift window.Reverse is next to park on a 700R4. Bendsteins has the adaptor I need its my next purchase. I have drive shaft so other than cutting it I sould have everything I need. Thanks again jim
