New to Buick

I'm not only new to the forum but also to the Buick Community. I actually don't have the car yet. I am looking at a 1951 two door sedan. I was looking for a '51 Chevy Belair two door hard top and stumbled across the Buick sedan. I don't know if it makes me a redneck (see Jeff Foxworthy) but all that chrome seems to be hypnotic. So how about a little advise. I'm looking at a '51 two door sedan on craigslist solid car no rust no dents engine "runs" has all of the chrome except the hood orniment $1500 OBO. The car is obviously a project. Needs paint and interior will probably be simpler to replace than clean. So the question is am I crazy if I buy it or crazy not too.

Straight 8ers seem to be a breed apart. if you bought it, i'm sure you'd meet lots of interesting people.
