I still have issues (questions) about the 1963 Riv... was it really unique and one year only for Riviera then changed in 1964 until 1966 (changed again after that on to 1970).

Does anyone have a shop manual for the 1963 Buicks - especially the Riviera? I had heard that the '63 was rushed out and used basically the standaed '63 Buick frame, unique from the 1964-1965. Then again, it may be the same as the '64-'65 Riviera. Can someone supply scans of the 1963 Riviera and standard Buick frame with dimensions so I can compare? Thanks!

The mounting is not the same as the trans is a ST 400 in 64-65, and not the shorter Dynaflow. You could make a 64-65 frame work if you are willing to cut off your 63 transmission brackets and weld them in place of the 64-65 brackets. Drive shafts and mounting would also have to be exchanged.
