I picked up a new project last weekend. It's a 66 Buick Special Deluxe, 2 door post. It's one of less than 2500 that were 2 door post with the v6. 225 v6 w/ the buick equivilent to the powerglide. Straight, rust free body. The interior needs work. I got it running last night, runs like a champ! I picked it up for $400 bucks!
Haven't been able to find much useful information on decoding the whole trim tag. What do you guys think?
Can anyone tell me what makes the Deluxe a Deluxe?

The Krause Standard Catalog of Buick says that the Deluxe "had slightly more brightwork, including a rear quarter bright spear with Special lettering above it (over the wheelhouse), bright window reveals and a stand-up hood ornament. (They) also had...rear ashtray; Deluxe steering wheel; dual armrests; carpeting and dual horns.
