    igniter ?

i was thinking of replacing my points with one of those igniter systems. i know they fit in the stock dist. but when i was looking at them on opg. it didn't say i need to replace cap, wires or coil. has anyone bought one of these? or know what it comes with. or is there a better alternative for my 67 riv.

use the search thread and type in ignitor. i use ignitor for 10yrs. in a recurved distributor and it really lit my fire. but i keep a set of points and condenser in my glove box in case of ignitor failure. some guys swear by them, and other guys hate them.

I have had the Igniter on all of my Buicks now for the past 15 years and I have had no problems. I have used the stock coil on all except the '54.

    Hi,

I put an IgnitorII 2 months ago, with matching flame thrower coil, new cap, new plugs on my 340 and I just figured I've had less power than I should since I bought the car....

Not much money for so much gain...
