    68 skylark 350-2 float level

    hi all, having a problem with my carb flooding so wondering if anyone has the measurements for the float. have found lots of helpful information/pictures etc and specs for up to 1965 but can not find the specs for my year/model carb.

    it is the original 1968 7028140 2GV 2bbl rochester carb.

    ta, Orange.

    I just rebuilt my rochester 2bbl
    lemme find the instruction sheet - they even provided two rulers and guages for setting the float, etc.
    check here tomorrow

    OK, let's see if this works. #1 lists the Buick 2bbl carbs,
    #2 gives all the options; A,B,C, etc that you will find on list #1.

    hmmm, that didn't work

    lemme try to just post for 7028140

    if you know HOW to make the adjustment;
    float level 15/32
    float drop 1-9/32

    I used a 15/32 drill bit for the level

    When I rebuilt the Carter 4bbl, I didn't pay too much attention to the float level and when I installed the electric fuel pump she was flooding (gas coming out the accelarator pump fitting).
    fortunately, I didn't have to remove the entire carb to make the correction, just the top of the carb - still, it was a PIA.
