Thread: insert or babbit ?

    insert or babbit ?

I have a 263 straight eight that has been identified as a 50 model engine in my 40 special. Without pulling the oil pan what kind of bearings can I expect this engine to have? This will affect the motor I will use for a driver and occasional touring car. Thanks for your help.
