Anyone that owns one of these Specials or Skylarks knows how uncooperative the engine compartment can be when attempting an engine swap. The steering gearbox mounted on the inside of the frame rails, the short nose, the cross-member that isn't recessed in the center.... the list keeps going. Has anyone fitted a Mustang II front suspension into one of these cars? This would solve steering gearbox issues allowing for rack and pinion, disk brakes up front and several other benefits. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
