    duel mc skylark

1963 Buick Skylark, I am trying to convert my single mc to a duel mc. Can anyone tell me what would work. I would like a stock appearance if possible. If you have a small Buick you know how tite the space is.

1978-80 ford fairmount Master Cylinder ($40), it has brake line fittings on engine side. I haven't done it myself, but it was a suggestion from another teambuick member. I looked at it, and it looks like it may clear.

Other option is upgrading to power brakes. when you install vacuum booster with GM factory bracket , it moves the mounting for master cylinder high up away from chassis. If you have low vacuum, from wild camshaft, then this wouldn't work.

These are suggestions, which I haven't tryed. Post it if you figure it out.

    swap master cyl

I just did this swap,,,, used a dual m/c from a 66 skylark with drum/drum brakes .....and the line block that goes under the m/c.... had to fab the l/f brake line, the line crossing over to the r/f and the line to the rear brakes...everything else works....be sure to hook the front brakes to the back line port on the m/c and the rear brakes to the front port..... otherwise it aint gonna work....
