    engine id 65 riv

    hey guys my first post on this site but heres my question just bought a 65 riv nailhead w/2x4 found engine #behind dist top of block it reads 1364705 is this a 425 or 401 thanks in advance terry the numbers on the heads are 1196904 my vin is 494475h931723 i cant find any numbers on front of block thanks again i only have the chevy #book

    all of the dual quad engines for 1965 were supposed to be 425s. to verify that the customer or the dealer didn't do their own upgrade, find the "LX" stamping on the engine.
