    55 Roadmaster Riviera decoding help

I'm looking at a 55 and need help. According to this site, the engine # should start with a "V" followed by a number. This number, 12783587, falls within the proper 1955 sequence but does not begin with a "V". Also the trim code is "74". The trim codes on this site seem to be three digit numbers. There also is an "Acc" line on the cowl plate which reads "B1". Any help would be appreciated.

I am not the expert, but,

I don't know if I would worry too much about the missing V. The number does work like you suggest.

If you use the "74" trim number in the '54 section it shows as Blue, maybe it has to do with updating sequences at various plants.

The acc, B1, does the car look like it has black accents? Then it might work too, as 01.

    Just a thought.
