    Just Wondering...

I don't think I've seen this type of thread posted anywhere else so I'll give it a try here.

I have a 1964 buick wildcat convertible, registered here in Missouri.
Does anyone have any idea on who, what, or where, to contact, to find out how many cars like my own are still registered, not only in Missouri, but in the U.S.?

Kinda like a geneology question I guess, but for cars only.
Well that's my question, so any ideas on the subject would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Click on reference above to find out the number made. Because so many states no longer allow access to their databases there is no way to tell the number currently registered.

I didn't think there was any way to find out the number of registrations but it was worth a shot....
    Thank-You so much.

At one time there were companies buying copies of an entire DMV databases for all 50 states and selling the data for just such requests. There may be old CDs out there that date back to the last time they were able to obtain the data.

    ID Cat

KT- 401 KW 425 KX 425 Dual Quads

Or 445 on air cleaner is 401, and 465 is 425 The Number is the torque. The The vehicle serial # and motor id are stamped into the block in front of the valley cover.
The RH side looking under hood is serial # should match vehicle ID on door.
The left side will have the KT or ? upside down and tell you the size. If motor has been changed serial # wont match door.
    What model did you get?

    Mine has a LW which is a 65 425

    Hope that helps

Well it is not original motor like we were told its MT which I think is a 401 from a 1966. Kinda disapointing. but what can ya do. Its still an awsome car and runs Quiet
