I feel your pain and took the easy way out, I converted my 62 to true knockoff wire wheels. The adapters are easy to find and if you can live with a true wires you can go to any size. I went to 14" all the way around and converted the front to disc barakes using Scarebird brackets,
Mitsubushi Gallant rotors and S10 calibrers. Worked out just fine. In the process now of installing a dual master. Let me if you want photos.

Here is the current ebay listing for the adaptors I bought. They worked fine on the drums all the way around but you might want to install a little longer studs, about a buck a piece. Easy change out. The size you have are 7/16 x 20 thread. I got mine at the local auto parts, just take one in and ask for one about a 1/2" longer. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WIRE-...item45ebbc01c4

After I installed the disc on the front I had to use a 1/2" spacer to clear the caliber but that may be the type of wheels I used which were 80's Zenith wheels which were brand new. I found them on ebay also. I only have a couple of photos before I installed the tires. I will roll her out in the sunshine this weekend and should some photos of the installation.
