    1952 Washer Question

The washers in my '52 sedan have not worked since I've purchased it. When I press the centre of the wiper switch I can hear a sucking noise coming from the switch itself. Is this normal or does this indicate a vacuum leak?

    Thanks

    1952 washer question

Probably the vacuum hose has rotted. Replacement should produce a working washer.

Thanks - So should the switch be making that noise or should it be silent?

Also my '52 is right hand drive and the washer switch is located behind the fuse panel and is very difficult to get to. If I release the switch from behind the dashboard, can I pull it through the front to work on the hoses? It's not mentioned in the manual.

    Thanks,

    Andy
