1950 vs. 1951/52 hood

Anybody know if the hoods interchange between 1950 and 1951/1952 Roadmasters? I think halfway in 1950 they had a different unlatching method and the hood ornament is different, but dimensions?

Nobody knows? The grill bar on the 1950 looks to my heinously untrained eye to have the same geometry as the '51-'52 until it hits the front fenders (past the hood). The hoods, aside from the trim, look pretty identical. I was thinking maybe fill the hood ornament holes and cut an oval out of the front, slap a '51 hood ornament and badge on there, and it may look spiffy on a '51. Or not, I don't know...Photoshop may tell.
I can't be the only one to think of this.
