322 cam timing

Hi, I'm putting a new cam chain and sprockets on my nailhead 322. I just want to check and see if this is the correct method for setting the cam timing.
Cylinder no 1 on TDC and cam keyway facing straight down. This gives 13 cam chain link pins between the dots on the cam gear and the crank gear.
This is how it was when I pulled it apart.
Seems like a strange setup. Is this correct?

Looks like this is a tricky question. Is there not one engine builder here?

Hello.In Buick Shop Manual it showes a Pic.A dot in camwheel and a dot
in crankshaft.Betveen the dots is 12 teeht,not 13 observe this.
This is Fakts from Buick Shop Manual of 54.

I hope i get understod,sorry of bad spelling. Stubbe in Sweden.

Yes I have just checked and 12 pins is correct. Thankyou Stubbe.
Seems like the Swedish know more about the nailhead than the Yanks
