    1952 Replacement Headlamp?

    Hi,

Any ideas where I an get a 6v headlamp for a 1952 Super?

I need the passenger side headlamp as the glass has cracked and has started to go cloudy inside.

The part manual gives the part number as 925765 but then says "LHD" after it and my Buick is right hand drive. There is no RHD headlamp listed under the "Right Hand Drive" section of the parts book that I have.

Any ideas where I might try? I'm based in the UK.

    Thanks,

    Andy

    RHD Headlights

Buicks in the US use the same headlight on both sides. The left one is aimed a little more to the right and down so as not to shine in the oncoming drivers eyes. I would think US headlights would work in RHD countries if aimed properly. If I were coming to your country on a vacation I would happily bring you a set. I have a 52 super also and I have never saw a RHD.

Hi fellow '52 Super owner - thanks very much for your reply! I will get my guys to take the headlight out to see if there are any more identifying marks. It does have the T3 marking on the front so hopefully the standard ones will be OK.

Thanks for the offer of bringing them over! I am actually coming to your country on vacation next week so was going to have a quick look for parts whilst over there!

If you like you can check out my car on http://www.bluemooncars.co.uk. She's currently in the workshop having a few bits & pieces done in preparation for the summer season. She was actually imported into the UK from South Africa, hence the RHD - we only ever got LHD US cars in the UK as GM didn't think us worth converting them for!

    Hello Lockhouse-
These used to be fairly easy to find...but not any more!
Here's a link to a FOrd supplier that sells them:

    Good luck with the Buick!

Thanks - I got some through oldbuickparts.com. They were not very expensive either which was good.
