why do you need the "by year" casting?
Folks,
Does anyone have set of casting numbers by production year for these crankshafts?
TIA,

HI,
Not sure that I do need the number by year, but that might be useful.
I need the casting numbers because I am shopping locally for 300 cranks and I have not seen enuf to confidently identify one.
Thanks,
Rog
300 cranks are all the same. the only Buick crank which shares the 300ci stroke ( 3.40" ) is the 364 Nailhead. and the bore spacing on a Nailhead is much wider than the 300.
Buick 300 production ran from 1964 to 1967. Nailhead 364 production ran from 1957 to 1961.
bore spacing on a 300 is the same as all Small Block Buicks, 4.240". Nailheads and Big Blocks are 4.750".
probably almost as easy just to wait for a complete engine assembly to show up. you'll get a lot more spare parts that way, also.
