1956 Buick throttle linkage

Hello, I have a 1956 Buick basket case with 322 nailhead. I know the top part of the linkage bolts to the back of the head, Where dose the bottom part bolt to? The linkage has a lower bracket made on it, but it dose not match up to anything. I think I have a bracket missing, dose it bolt to the firewall or the bell housing? It dose have a dynaflow transmission. Thanks

linkage bolts to firewall. A real bear to get at. hope this helps. I had mine out to clean and repaint
