Tire size question??? '78 Electra

I need some opinions. I have a '78 Electra that came to me with way too small tires 205/75-15. The conversion chart states that 215/75-15 should be correct, but they still seem too small. Here is the question...I know this wealthy car collector who might be giving me four brand new 235/75-15 tires with a 1" white wall. I think that these would look great & obviously the price is right. Do you think that they would be OK on my '78 Electra as far as appearance , clearance, and handling, or too big ?
