1949 Roadmaster Front Bumper Badge

How is the Roadmaster emblem/badge attached to the front bumper of a 49 Roadmaster or Slpecial? It has two tabs on the backside with a hole in each tab. The old one has spring attached to thses two tabs. Any thoughts?

I have seen a heavy wire used, also a bendable coil spring, anything to keep tension between the holes on the insert, and the bumper
