Carter Carburetor #726SA

Hi,
I have a carter carburetor #726SA on my 320cu engine of my 1950 Buick Roadmaster.
The carburetor has a vacuum starter switch. Unfortunatly the switch does not work and I need a repair kit.
Does someone know where I can find or ask for it?

Not sure where to get a repair kit for the starter switch, most repair kits are just gaskets and stuff...Carter went out of business years ago as well, but they do pop up on eBay etc.
What kind of problems are you having? Perhaps just try rebuilding the one you have first? Might save you some dough.

I have seen many switches on ebay but unfortunatelly only for Stromberg.
The part I would need is mentioned as #3 in your graph (fig.5).
Any idea where I can find this item?

How about locating a junk engine with a Carter Carb and using that part?

Many cars used that starting system, Packard comes to mind.

Why not give this guy a shout? $265 is a lot but you'd probably pay half that just for the part you're looking for if you could find one.

I found a guy to rebuild my carter on line but a good source is buickfarm.com
