1954 special riviera 2dr post

Hello to all,

I am the proud owner of a 1954 buick special 2 door model 46R. My questions are.

I want to have a local mechanic do oil service and trans service, I want to order the parts, not exactly sure where to buy and what to order other than a oil filter and pan gasket for the oil change, also what type of oil?

Then on the trans side, what do I need besides a pan gasket? paper filter of some sorts? type of fluid? any help, greatly appreciatted

I use a good quality oil like Valvolene or Castrol 10W-30.
The tranny doesn't take a paper filter.
I use Mercon III tranny fluid.
