Can anyone tell me the torque for the pinion shaft nut, for a 55 Buick with a 3.43 ratio. According to the 1948 Shop Manual, the torque should be 150 ft lbs. Is the torque the same for a 55 Buick? Thanks in advance, Anthony

Thank you, I'm really happy that I'm finally replacing this gear ratio in my 48. It's like a completely different car when driving it on the big roads, although my Buick wears the name Roadmaster. It may not be the master of the roads anymore, but it sure feels like when I'm behind the wheel. Thank you again Bob, Anthony
