I'm trying to get A/C up and running on my '65 Riv. All vacuum lines were disconnected when I bought the car. I've re-run all lines per diagrams, but airflow still won't switch to the dash outlets. I've verified that the Heater/A/C diaphragm works by running vacuum directly to it. Am I correct to assume that I have defective Heater/A/C disc switches? Is this common? Are they available? Meanwhile, I guess I can run vac.lines directly to the Heater/A/C diaphragm for summer and remove in winter for heat?
Conversion question.....The A/C hasn't been run in some time. To switch to R134, does the compressor need to be removed and drained of the oil in it and replaced with ester oil? The system has been "open". Does it need to be flushed? How is this done? I've bought a new "Drier" Should I wait until after changing compressor oil and flushing to install it?
Thanks....in advance....to anyone who can help!!

get the up dated adaptors to connect to the new freon . Any good auto parts store has them. If you drain the compressor refill it with new refer oil. replace the dryer and refill freon. Thats all there is to do. As for your other problem I am no help.
