I don't expect you would have a clearance problem with stock rims, but I expect they are 14x6 ( I could be wrong). Have you looked this article over?

I just had a blow out on one of the 205/75-R14's on my 1970 Skylark Custom convertible. The car has stock 14" ralley rims, I think they are 14x7".
Has anyone mounted a set of 245/60-R14's on a set of 14x7 rims? Any interference issues on a 1970 Skylark? I'm torn between the 245/60's or 225/70's.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Thanks for the link, lots of great information.
Short of pulling off the tire is there any way to measure the rim width?
Any idea where to find the part number on a rim?
Looks like I may just stick with a 225/70 to be safe - but where's the fun in that?
