If you have another Buick with a 300 it can be done using all the parts for the Buick with the 300. If you have to purchase all the parts it would be better to find a good running 401.

    401 to300 motor swap

I have two complete cars. The one with the 300 has a rebuilt motor and trans but the 4 door body is rusted out. The one with the 401 is a 2 door with original paint and a seized motor from sitting.my concern is the mot.or mounts401 at the front 300 in the middle. What do you do about this?

Im doing the same thing but im putting a 401 in my 2 door lesabre. What i figured out is that you are going to move the motor mounts on the chassis.
Make sure they are in the right spot so the driveline is straight. Use the right tranny support member. I dont think that the wiring is much different im still trying to figure that out. Im pretty sure you can use the same voltage regulator.

    401

I may be interested in the 401 if you do the change.
