    1956 Buick Century Wagon INFO

I was wondering if anyone had any info on a 56 century wagon. I have been thinking about picking one up.
I looked in the reference section, but was wondering if anyone could help me locate parts suppliers and such for this car!
I know that the Iona bodies are different from the fisher bodies, and I was trying to find out what other year Buick's, or GM's would be interchangeable.

You have good taste! I have found so far that the mechanical equipment is the same as the Special/Century models. The rear bumper and lights are the same. I have seen vendors that can supply glass for the wagon. Same for carpet and headliners. As far as body panels I don't know.

As far as other interchangeable parts from GM cars, lets see what the others have to say. I don't know.

    Special Wagon

No experience with a Century, but lots with a special wagon.

    Thumbs up '56 Buick Wagon

    Very Sweet Ride.

    Low Production numbers.

Body parts are the same except those that seperate it from the sedan.

Rear interior panels, Extended roof line and of course the Tailgae and Rear Window hatch which were subject to rusting out due to water leaks around the extended openings and weather strip failure.

I believe that the above mentioned parts which may be hard to find are interchangeable with the 54 and 55 wagons which shared the same "B" body style

New weatherstripping is available at Steel rubber products.

If I had the opportunity, I would jump at the chance it the wagon is sound.

I wish you luck in your endeavor.
Thanking YOU, for YOUR Valued Cooperation and Experience in This Matter.
