Larry, I can rebuild yours. $$$$ depends on what may be needed. Takes at least 6-8 hours to accomplish depending on what's needed. Could be more.

Thanks for the offer but at this point I don't have a driveshaft to rebuild. I do need to know if the u joints of 1962 lesabre rear shaft are out of phase 67.5 degrees as the 1963 is? as shown in the 63 chassis book. maybe some one with a 62 book can look it up for me? Please. lrg larry

    Driveline...

A 1962, 1963 and 1964 (the 64' must not have the t-400) will all interchange. They all have the same trans, "X" body frame and same rear end. I have used a 63 in another 62 and it worked great. If you decide to put a t-400 in your 62, then find a 64 t-400 driveline. It bolts right in with no shortening of the driveline.

i might have a 62 for sale. If anyone knows if a chevy 700r4 would have the same spline as a buick 400 i will be looking for a 64 400 drivline.

    driveline

A dynaflow, t-350, and 700r4 uses the same splines in the yoke. a t-400 uses its own size as it is a larger spline/shaft.

    you will.

You will have to shorten the original driveline (front shaft) for the extra length of the 700r4. Measure the dynaflow then measure the 700r4. Have the front driveline shortned by the difference in length.
