430/455 Cyl Block: Outside Width Across Pan Rails

Anybody know the OUTSIDE Dimension ACROSS the Pan Rails off the Top of Their Head ?? Building a Wooden Engine Storage/Transport Cradle and am Unsure about this Dimension. Engine will be supported on Pan Rails.....Engine sits in a Tire and, right now, I have No Way of lifting it at the present time to get this Dimension....Many Thanks......

The oil pan rails have a jog in them. The overall width is about 11 1/2 inches

I went out and mocked up a support for my 455 - the pan is off, so didn't
    have to lift anything.

I would recommend 2x10s for the sides and back and a 2x8 for the front of
    the pan.

the inside measurements of your box (about one inch off square) should be
24" length, 10.5" for the front and rear. (inside measurements)

using the 2x8 for the front allows for the lip to still have support.
