    Hi just found this site I have a 90 riviera all signs point to cps problem...wont restart after driving until it sits..my question is a puller required to remove crank pully to get to cps? thanks for any help

    U shouldn't have to take off the pully or harmonic balancer to get to the cps. If I am right it goes through the front cover and magnetically reads a cog looking wheel inside the cover. What motor does it have? I may b able to get a diagram.

    If you are asking about the crankshaft position sensor you will need to remove the crankshaft pulley and it may come off with out a puller but you will need a impact gun ( Air Gun ) to remove the front crankshaft bolt . Good luck with your project .
