Hello everyone,
Right now I have a 1950 4 door super Dynaflow with the top cut off (not me, the guy before me did it). I have been working on the mechanical aspect of the car hoping to find another body that I could throw on top of it. The motor is running, the brake system is completely redone.
Well I never found my 4 door but what i did find was a 2 door Riviera. As the car sits right now the motor is out of it (not sure if it runs) and the car is a three speed.
My question is this, for the time being I would like to throw my engine and trans in from the 4 door so I can drive her (I know that the Dynaflow engine won't mate to the 3 speed), would the Dynaflow transmission bolt up to the three speed torque tube? Or would the length of the tranny not allow it and if it did work would the gear ratio in the rear axle work with it?
Thanks,
Lee
The driveline from the Dynaflow will bolt up to the rear end of the three speed but the super has a longer wheelbase. I think the drivelines are the same for the Dynaflow and the three speed as I can't see any difference in them but worst case you could shorten the one for the Super.
