A dwell angle between 28 and 32 is good.
Hello
I just put on my 401 (rivo '63) a ignitor Pertronix and remove breaker point..I do step by step all installation instructions but I cannot have the good dwell angle about 30°. I have about 31.5°.Is it important for this kind of engine? How can I get the good dwell angle?
Thank you for help

Please let me know something.Just to day somebody tell me that when you remove breaker point for ignitor there is no more dwell angle. So is it right or wrong?
Thanks for your help

When you change over to some kind of electronic ignition the dwell will remain constant on it's own. With points the dwell constantly changes as the points open & close throughout the entire RPM range. One of the things that makes electronics better than points.
