I have a 66 Electra and I'm looking at putting Bilsteins or some Ride Tech Q series on mine. They are a higher in price than monroe, but I believe the build quality is better.
Hi Trying to fix front end float in my 74 Electra I have replaced front shocks with new Monroe units new sway bar bushes etc can any one recommend Heavy duty shocks ? The Monroe units can not seem to handle the big girl I am starting to get seasick any ideas welcome Thanks

Koni gas adjust, handle great, easy on the wallet, summitt or jegs
I believe that stage3matt means KYB gas-a-just, not Koni as they are not resonably priced, but a very GOOD shock along with the Bilsteins.

yes your correct KYB, I WAS MISTAKEN by thinking about my drag koni's ,10/90s, but I HAVE GONE SUPER TRICK !! QA1 COIL OVERS!! .....PRO TOURING
I checked with KONI and they do not have shocks available for my 66 Electra. No one that I know has used KYB, how good are they compared to Gabriel or Monroe? Or, are they considered to be in another category up there with Koni and the Bilsteins?
The price of the KYBs is very good, anyone has personal experience with them on a larger vehicle? Again, there is no application for my 66.
you guys own boats, what do you expect , a comfy buick ride and lambo handling? it is not gonna happen, unless you can afford the big dog stuff , u r gonna have to go custom ,...HEIDTS ...WAUCONDA ,IL if they don't have it they will make , best break out the plastic tho
...here they are for the rear http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ky...ctra/year/1966

Checked every company that was mentioned here except the high-dollar shocks for our Lambo-Boats. Summit has listings for Bilstein and Ridetec (front only) , they also have listings for (front-only) KYB gas-adjust. So, wanting to have a matched set all the way around, back to my original post...I ordered a set of Monroe Sensatracs for $100.00 plus shipping. I will pair this with new coil springs from Moog and the ride will be better than original!
